Heidi and I are here in Evanston, IL, at the Hotel Orrington for CMS Expo, now through May 1. It's a very cute town, with lots of stuff within walking distance.
If you're here for Expo, be sure to drop by our booth for Joomla template cheat sheet cards and a brochure describing Marlboro College Grad School's new Certificate in Open Source Web Development.
We've also got a sale on Lynda.com DVD training! You can buy Jen's "Joomla! Creating and Editing Custom Templates" or "Joomla! Advanced CSS" for just $40 -- a 20% savings over the usual $50 price. And if you want to buy both DVD's, they're just $75 together. But that's only for this conference, so hurry!
And of course, be sure you don't miss Jen's Joomla Template training sessions for beginners and more advanced users on Thursday and Friday. See you there!

I thought I would pass on one hint though, since about 80% of the room were Mac users. When you go to zip up the file, most Mac users will select the files they want and pull down the menu to compress in the finder. However, in doing this Mac's create an extra file in the zip file named ._templateDetails.xml which causes an error in the install process. To get around this open up a terminal window, cd into the directory you want to zip up and type the command:
export COPYFILE_DISABLE=true
then:
zip -r myTemplate.zip *
You can run the zip command as many times as you want without retyping the first command. Once you close the terminal window, then you will have to retype it.
Again, great class!
