Jen presents a keynote on e-learning at Universidad Galileo at Joomla Day Guatemala, March 2012.

Jen has presented at conferences in the United States, Europe, Australia, and Central America.

Jen is known for her unique style of explaining the theory and logic behind the software and its features first, followed by putting that logic into action in using the software interface. This methodology improves learning and retention, since the audience understands the correct way to think about a problem before starting to click the buttons. As a result, many presentations have few slides, and most are created as notes for the audience to use for later reference.

Jen is available to speak on the topics below, or dozens of other topics pertaining to web design and development, website planning, interface design, usability, and accessibility. Contact Jen for more information.

Non-Profit Website Strategy and Planning 2013

You're ready to redesign your existing non-profit website, or you're building a new one from scratch. Before you pick up the phone and start calling web designers, what should you know first? Jen Kramer will walk you through the process of planning your next website, including identifying strategic goals, target audience, and the truly important features and functionality (rather than those just nice to have) that will make your website effective and manageable. You can do all of this with a minimum of geekery!

CMS Expo 2013

Jen presented a keynote, a presentation, and a panel discussion at CMS Expo 2013.

The keynote presentation, "Reactive Technology", attempts to resolve the definition of "responsive design" and coins a new term, reactive technology, for techniques that make websites run on multiple hardware platforms.

Slides are available below or at SlideShare.

Jen also presented a short talk, "Teaching Responsive Design from the Start." We teach web design like it's 2005, not 2013. How can we teach our students to think about responsive web design from the beginning of their college careers, where they are first learning HTML? Here are some ideas.
